Join the Three Timbers team as they go in full pursuit of their passion for the hunt throughout the Midwest and Canada. Tension hits an all time high in the stand, you can literally hear Jeff Tourville’s heart thump as he attempts to close the deal on an opening day giant. Sit still and hold your breath as Laythan Musgrave decoys a mature buck into bow range, attempting to take him from the ground. Join in the ongoing debate as J.D. attempts to convince the other guys to go along with a hunting philosophy that they see as unorthodox.
Working class and white collar, these are ordinary hunters investing their own time, sweat and cash to lay down footage that hits everyday hunters. It was season of unbelievable highs and devastating lows.
On Target- I like the fact that they are working class hunters who film their adventures. I’m sure everyone can relate to all their hunts, they hunt like you and I hunt. They do a great job capturing the hunt and all its entirety. They seem to be guys who are self taught in the filming and editing side and are doing a really great job.
Off Target - First off, I noticed a hunt on the DVD that was on a DVD I’d seen in the past. Not sure why they are putting a hunt on their DVD that is also on another companies DVD. Beyond that I’m not sure there was that much wrong with the DVD. I hate to be to hard on new production work breaking into the industry. This is a tough industry and I wish them the best. They will only get better – Season after Season.

The Nikon Archer’s Choice is truly the ultimate bowhunter’s rangefinder – specifically designed and engineered with the help of Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo of Archer’s Choice for real world bowhunting situations.
This rangefinder features Nikon’s legendary multicoated optics, waterproof/fogproof ruggedness, pocket-sized portability, long eye relief (18mm) and the new ID (Incline/Decline) Technology.
On Target - It’s designed for the bowhunter. I love the compact rugged design along with the quick and accurate ranging. The ID technology is really nice for those 25ft to 30ft treestands or when you’re over-looking a steep incline. Everything they say about this unit is true. It will make a great rangefinder for any bowhunter.
Off Target - Very cold weather is not it’s friend. When the temps drop below 20 my unit wants to have a mind of its own. I’m not sure if it’s a condensation issue or what. If you have some tips on ways to acclimate the rangefinder please send them my way so that I may let other readers know.

Join Kevin aka High Tech Red Neck and friends on 17 successful NV hunts for coyotes and foxes in West Central IL. If you’re contemplating jumping into the night time hunting scene but are a little hesitant to make that initial NV investment……well this is an inexpensive way to learn the ins and outs.
DVD running time is approximately 2.5 hours including 30 minutes devoted to introducing you to the tricks and techniques Kevin uses to successfully take more active night-time predators. Kevin also shares the steps and procedures necessary to get the most out of your High Tech Red Neck Signature Series Scope.
On Target – When I was first contacted by Kevin to take a look at his DVD I was very intrigued. I’ve heard of people night hunting with infrared spot lights, etc but not with tactical infrared scopes or as Kevin calls them, high quality generation 3 night vision devices. These are the same devices that the Armed Forces uses. Pretty cool huh. What better way to extend my hunting hours. Once I received the DVD and got to watch it I began to understand how much Kevin has put into this style of hunting. He has really perfected the “High Tech Red Neck night hunting.” He has done the research and has put in the hunting hours to fine tune this new breed of predator hunting.
Off Target - I realized after a few minutes of watching the DVD that it was either self edited or done on a low budget. Understandable when your trying to break into the hunting DVD market. I also realize that when your filming at night you’re never going to get the quality that you want. Some of the hunts were tough to see and very grainy. Another portion of the video that I thought needed some help was the instruction segments. They were drawn out. I think if shot differently they could of been a little more informative and not so stagnant. Other than that, I thought the DVD was really entertaining and it helped me to learn more about this newly awakened style. Now, if you can afford a High Quality generation 3 night vision scope then go out and have you some fun.

Made in North America with the highest quality carbon composite fibers available.
All VForce arrows come with a smooth polished finish and are available with 4″ Duravane or Bohning 2″ Blazer vanes and Bohning nocks.
Std VForce Arrows are sorted to +/- 0.5 of grain weight per dozen on all 300, 350 and 400 sizes, +/- 3 grains weight tolerance on 500 ’s and 600’s per dozen.
On Target- Besides Victory being a great company to deal with they put out products that are second to none. I’ve been shooting the V-Force 350’s the last two years and have never been more comfortable with an arrow. Before when buying a dozen arrows there seemed to always be 2 or 3 that were what I called “flyers”. Those arrows never quite got the chance to ride in my quiver. Mark the blazer with a marker and except the fact that you didn’t get your $’s worth. Not the issue with the V-Force’s. Every arrow is spine and spin tested. Their great at long distance shooting and very durable. I’ve gotten many uses out of one arrow, sometimes I even wipe the blood off.
Off Target - I used to always practice with broadheads, but now that I’ve found heads that fly like field tips I’ve switched back. With the combination I shoot you don’t want to aim at the same spot twice. Slicing to many blazers and scaring to many arrows can be costly.
When you get a chance pick yourself up some Victory arrows and let me know your results. Read more about them at: www.victoryarchery.com

For every serious deer hunter out there, time and planning must be invested in the off season to create an encounter with a monster during the fall. A lot of preparation goes into begin successful, from planting food plots, setting out trail cameras, glassing fields and setting up potential intercept points. You will get an opportunity to see how determining your own plans can pay off big time in your everyday life. Follow the Team Harvest boys through their second season as they put their summer plans into action.
On Target - First off, I like the fact that the Team Harvest boys involve our great lord in everything they do. God bless you guys. Secondly, they really knock down some great bucks and not to mention some really cool footage. This video is packed with some exciting hunts. It kind of has that raw home video feel but yet they are capturing it professionally and putting it together nicely in the post editing.
Off Target – If I was to critique anything about the DVD it would start with the store bought jumpback transitions. I’ve never been a fan of the “included transition or background effects” or the “already made effects you can buy”. What I’m getting at is that I like to see editors use their own creations for transitions, effects, DVD authoring, etc. Other than that I think the guys put together a nice DVD with quality footage and kills.

Bates Individual Comfort System Technology – A breakthrough in advanced comfort technology that gives you the freedom to choose the setting that is right for YOU.
These leather and nylon boots allow you to select the level of comfort and performance you want. The midsole features an adjustable disk that can be placed among four settings to control firmness, cushion, inward and outward stability.
On Target - COMFORTABLE! The Individual Comfort Zone system is awesome. I’m able to set the boot to the terrain, to my foot preference. What feels comfortable to one person might not be to the next so they made it changeable. Nice solid boot for people on their feet everyday.
Off Target - I’m a hunter and tried out the boots in the mountains. I love the ICZ system but you may want to look for a different style for hunting. This exact boot is more for the law enforcement or the security officer. It isn’t waterproof and really wasn’t made for the steep inclines I used them on. I would go with the M-8 Tactical combat Tora Tora Alpine boot if I were to use for hunting.
