Since 1976, Jimmy Houston has entertained and educated outdoor lovers. He is best known for his blonde locks and trademark laugh.
Whether he is tempting largemouth in Florida, enticing peacocks in South America, catching crappie on Lake Tenkiller or trying to outsmart the elusive whitetail buck in “Indiana”, Jimmy strives to make you feel like you’re right there in the boat or tree stand with him.
On target- If I look over his past hunting incident, Jimmy’s a great guy. I’ve worked with the man and have to say he’s a pleasure to hang out with. The show is very informative and fun. He is very passionate about fishing and loves introducing it to kids. There’s never a dull moment with Jimmy’s laugh.
Jimmy has been in this game for many years and his energy and fun personality has never diminished. He is always great on camera and consistently provides the viewer with a number of interesting and helpful tips. It says a lot when a guy in the business for so long still manages to have one of the top-rated fishing shows out there.
Off target- I’ve noticed a lot of footage from several years back re-aired in new episodes. Flashbacks are great, but I know Jimmy’s got to be on the water enough to give us more new footage.

Regardless of the controversy he stirred up shooting that penned deer, Jimmy has done a ton of good things for our beloved sports…
I think sponsorships have gotten the best of him over the years and he has lost some of his game but nevertheless I will always remember watching his shows growing up
at the end of the day he is a good guy
Jimmy is a total clown but you gotta love the guy…I think he needs a hott chick as a side kick to get him back in the game

Shootin deer in a pin is bad enough. I think he needs to stick to the fishing and leave the huntin to us.

whatever, any of us would like to go huntin or fishin with Jimmy and y’all know that. show isnt too bad and that new mothwing camo is pretty sweet.
I personally can’t overlook something as deplorable as trying to kill a deer in a pen,that the”guide”chases towards you……….it’s just plain bad no matter how you spin it!Therefore I would never and have never watched or endorsed anything jimmy houston is involved in!
yes, we all know the issue and it won’t be forgotten. It is hard to believe someone that has a dream job and all things going for him would do such a thing. The Outdoor industry is a small world and I sure want to keep it around.
