Good points. I watch a lot of shows out there where I question the age of a harvested animal. I can't stand it when a host shoots a young 8-point and sits there doing his recovery talking about how the buck is 3 1/2.

If were trying to educate young hunters to shoot mature bucks then lets lead by example.

I like Paul Newsom. I think he's a genuinely good person with the values we should all hold. I'm sure I'd like him if I knew him personally. He would be a great friend. I think he's honest and I agree that he should get an "A" for who he is, and no worse than a B- for the show. I like the show, and it doesn't bother me that he hasn't updated the intro. It's OK with me that it's targeted toward older hunters. But...

I was watching his show one day. He was turkey hunting and a gobbler was harvested on the show. I don't remember if Paul shot it or if someone else die, but Paul said it was a nice "2-year old." With the longer center tail feathers and spur nubs, it was clearly a 1-year old jake. I don't have any problem with him shooting a jake, but he should know better than to call it a 2-year old.

I believe this show is purposly targeted toward older hunters who have watched outdoor televsion for a long time. Therefore, it accomplishs its goal of entertaining THEM, but as far as the the NEW-AGE audience is concerned, its just a little to slow and predictable.

I'm with Craign. The show is a little old for my taste. But My dad still watches it and he's 76.

I know, but I'm rating the show not him as a person. He is a great person and of course would get an A for who he is.
