Bighorn Outdoors

I suggest you follow Team Bighorn as they travel America in search of heart pounding adventures to fit any outdoorsman’s budget. You’ll learn how to bow hunt bull elk in Colorado for under $800 and hunt huge whitetail in Ohio with just a $111 over-the-counter tag. Plus, they provide some of the most exciting angling ever caught on video. Their tips and techniques will inspire you to expand your outdoor adventures. Team Bighorn’s productions air three times a week on The Men’s Channel. Check it out.
On target- I really like Bighorn Outdoors direction. They appeal to the average sportsman, showing how to hunt affordably and proving you don’t have to spend $2500 to $6500 on a fully guided private land hunt. They also seem pretty down to earth; not like some of the big shots you see on some shows that need to loosen their hat bands to accommodate their big heads.
Off target- After watching a couple Bighorn Outdoor shows I came up with a couple of things I questioned. First, while I was watching and getting into an intense hunt, all of the sudden I was serenaded by the Soggy Bottom Boys. I lost the feeling of being right there with the stalking hunter. I like the fact that Bighorn is doing something different with their music selection, but I’m not sure about the placement. Second, was the over use of online bought jumpbacks from Digital Juice, which are already-made graphics used for editing purposes. Over use of them cheapen the production. Some original graphics would make a world of difference.

I like the shows. I’m tired of watching the big shots whack deer and elk that I’ll never have a chance at. THose guys at BHO are like me.
They need a little work but good review.
Interesting, I’ll have to watch for the Soggy bottom boys. I loved the movie.
Where FOr Art Thou Hunters. I can’t wait till Gobbler season.
The right idea just need a little help in the production room. And they don’t need to plug every sponsor on kill. “Man this Thompson Center really did the job.” Come on now.
I thought it was a respectable show. To many big guns out there over producing sh!t. Just my two cents.
Bighorn outdoors ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Funny, I love the off targets. I hope no one takes this to seriously. Laugh a little.
As most of you know I am subject to many outdoor Hunting and Fishing shows and I’ve been trying to get our shows here at the NWTF to feature all the songs of Howie Damron on every show we produce. By the way he is the Foggy Bottom Boys and he is singing all parts himself. I have been watching Bighorn Outdoors for the formula that they’ve found to promote in a different way and thats the wonderful music and how they select it’s placement within each show and there message is a wonderful mission. All of you should check out Howie”s music for it will motivate us all to love the outdoors a lot more. It did me and still does every day. I am a new pro-staffer for Bighorn Outdoors and want to thank each and everyone of you for watching! We here at Bighorn want to share hunts with the viewers that the working man can relate with, I like most of you work for a living and what you see on the show is a guy who is on vacation and just happens to be in front of the camera! What you see is true emotion and there is nothing staged it is just a couple ordinary guys having fun! If you have any ideas on the show or on any self guided hunt just go to our web site and click on the contacts page and send us an email we would love to hear from you!
WOW, we started airing shows on TV 4 years ago. I never dreamed of coming this far. We have prostaffers that just enjoy donating their time to hunt , run cameras and help out with the SOS/Bighorn Youth Adventure Camps. Howie Damron writes music about our adventures, music that all sportsmen can relate to. Now we even get our shows written about by Outdoor Critics. Most viewers love Bighorn Outdoors TV show, and some hate it. I’m just happy to live in a land where your wildest dreams can come true, through hard work and good friends. Thank you all for replying to the shows review. Please come and checkout our web site, Swap a Hunt or get your hands on some great products.

“Hunt more, Talk less” If I was to give one word of advice. Honestly, what do I know, I’m just and ordinary guy who watches these shows just dreamin of the chance to go on some of the hunts they get to go on. Hell, I still can’t afford them. So I get to sit in my living room in the fold out recliner and eat Lays as some other guy gets to hunt some of the most elusive animals on the planet. I live through you TV guys. Once in awhile when I can take off work I’ll get the ichin to step outback and hunt my 40 acres. I will pretend to be in Kansas or Illinois and at any moment that 180 will stroll by. Hey, its the card I was dealt and I’ll make the most of it. Cheers to you guys who hunt for a living, I idolize you and wish the best ever time you set out on another hunt. Keep up the good work and never let the passion die. Oh, and make sure you keep airin on TV. It’s all I watch.
Thanks for listening.

I for one, really like the show……..I will say that the songs overpower the actual hunting at times but all in all it is a very real down to earth show…..and i think Tom is a very down to earth guy, keep up the good work!
FOR THOSE WHO TRULY ENJOY WATCHING HUNTING /FISHING SHOWS YOU KNOW THAT A MAJORITY OF SCENES ARE STAGED AND RE-REHEARSED! .WELL I CAN TELL YOU THAT THE EXCITEMENT AND ENERGY THAT TOM AND HIS TEAM SHOW BEFORE DURING AND AFTEREACH HUNT IS FOR REAL! I PERSONALLY MET TOM AND A FEW OF HIS PRO-STAFF MEMBERS AND I HONESTLY CAN SAY THESE ARE EVERY DAY BLUE COLLAR PEOPLE . MOST OF ALL THE YOUTH PROGRAM THEY HAVE IS FANTASTIC !AND FOR THE GUY COMPLAINING ABOUT SPONSORSHIP ENDORSEMENTS,THATS THE BUISINESS !IF YOU DONT NAME AND PROMOTE YOUR’E SPONSORS YOU’LL BE OFF THE AIR QUICKLY!IF YOU ARE A HUNTER AND WATCH BUT HAV’NT GRABBED THE ASPECT OF THE SHOW ,ITS TEACHING YOU HOW TO SELF GUIDE YOU AND YOU’RE BUDDIES ON HUNTS THAT THE WEALTHY PAY UPWARDS OF $20,000.00 for under $1,500.00 you just aquire the permits, maps and go do some scouting etc. and bang one of maines biggest moose in several years! they show a common working man can do it and kids still go to college. well thats my 10 cents worth !
