Tiger Whisker’s Wind Monitor

Pursuit Hunting Gear, a new manufacturer in the hunting products industry, introduces the Tiger Whiskers High Performance Wind Sensor for hardcore hunters. This hands-free device allows the hunter to constantly monitor the wind, detecting even the slightest change in direction. Unlike existing products, Tiger Whiskers allow the hunter to remain silent and motionless while maintaining constant visibility of his surroundings.
The “whiskers” in a Tiger Whiskers wind sensor consist of over 750 high-tech Kevlar micro-filaments. The micro-filaments naturally separate from one another, making them extremely sensitive to air currents. The whiskers are five times stronger than steel so they resist breaking and knotting, even if they become tangled in weeds, briars, clothing or gear.
For hands-free operation, Tiger Whiskers can be attached to virtually anything, including the barrel of a gun, a bow stabilizer, a tree stand or tree limb. Alternatively, the whiskers can be used in a hand-held manner, using their sturdy plastic carrying case as a handle.
On target –First off, I was already doing something similar. I used to just tie a piece of thread to the end of my stabilizer and it worked alright. But since I’ve been using the new Tiger Whisker, I doubt I’ll be digging in my grandma’s sewing kit anymore.
When still-hunting or stalking, I found the hands-free operation invaluable in maintaining a downwind position from my prey. I appreciate the ability to know at all times where my scent is being carried by the wind. This allows me to focus my attention on the hunt and where I need to take my shot before the animal travels downwind.
Off target – I have to say that the Tiger Whiskers wind sensor is a pretty flawless product. I am starting to hate this “Off target” part because products nowadays are so well designed. I suggest you use the product and let me know what you think. Myself, I would probably buy two packs for back up…and don’t forget where you place the pin shaped case.

Interesting product, I will check them out. I might have to do away with my baby powder bottles. lol
Cool idea
Nice, I’ll pick me one up.
hey guys, it’s a girl. Do you think this is better than the powders?
Shir
Don’t know yet. Let me try one and I’ll get back to you.
I’m so used to the powders. I’ll look into it though.
Sorry for the spam everyone (full disclosure: I’m the owner of the company that makes this product), but here is a link to some hunting video that shows the Tiger Whiskers working in a real-life situation. You can see for yourself how accurately it can predict when a deer will wind you and the advantage of having a hands-free wind sensor when game is in bow range.

Thanks Chris for the video add. Cool video.
Big Time.
Just for your information. I got my Tiger Whiskers after meeting Chris at the SHOT Show last Feb. I love them. I actually have two on my bow. One on the top limb and one on the stabilizer. I have used them on every hunt since getting them. Last season was filled with opportunities where Tiger Whiskers applications proved to be valuable. Every time I got snorted out, I glanced at the Tiger Whiskers that were pointed in the animal’s direction. I watched mature does bust me as soon as the Whiskers pointed their direction. They even gave me chances to time my shots in shooting lanes before being busted. I only wish that I had been using them for years. If only I had known precisely where the wind was blowing, I could have planned shot opportunities better. I will not be in the woods without Tiger Whiskers.
Just a tip for you first time users, it will increase the life of your Tiger Whiskers to remove them from the bow or gun and store them in the case when you are raising and lowering the bow from the treestand. I have gotten leaves tangled in them causing the fibers to mat together.
With 51 different species to my credit, I consider this an extremely valuable addition to my equipment list. I will be using it when I return to Africa to bowhunt Big 5 animals; but then, I don’t go to the woods without them.
Great product Chris!!!
