On target –First off, I was already doing something similar. I used to just tie a piece of thread to the end of my stabilizer and it worked alright. But since I’ve been using the new Tiger Whisker, I doubt I’ll be digging in my grandma’s sewing kit anymore.

When still-hunting or stalking, I found the hands-free operation invaluable in maintaining a downwind position from my prey. I appreciate the ability to know at all times where my scent is being carried by the wind. This allows me to focus my attention on the hunt and where I need to take my shot before the animal travels downwind.

Off target – I have to say that the Tiger Whiskers wind sensor is a pretty flawless product. I am starting to hate this “Off target” part because products nowadays are so well designed. I suggest you use the product and let me know what you think. Myself, I would probably buy two packs for back up…and don’t forget where you place the pin shaped case.

Windage is a scent free powder used to determine wind direction. A camouflage rubberized plastic container is simply squeezed, releasing a powder that floats to indicate the slightest wind direction. Off target- Some of you might think their a little pricey. Hey, you get what you pay for. Also, I recommend getting the optional C-cell battery pack which has a 1 year plus battery life. Otherwise your going to be changing out a whopping load of 10 AA batteries every so often.
